meteorologist justin berk. we pull out the satellite and radar we. had rain overnight. still leftover showers. there's a hint that we could get this cold air and catching up to the back edge of the precip. that could very well bring in some flakes around town. we start at 52. our high temperature will be the midnight temperature. we'll be falling throughout the day because the 30s are lingering on the other side of the mountains. we'll check out the forecast and slide through the mid-40s. we do expect to have our temperatures back in the low 40s and maybe snow flakes mixed in this afternoon. let's take a look at the traffic with tanya. good morning. good morning. we're starting out with good news. great news. we are accident free in baltimore and on any city or county roads. that's a great way to start the morning. let's take a live look at our traffic cameras. 6:9 -- 695. no incidents reported on the northwest side as you make your way through pikesville on the

outer loop. this is 895 at the harbor tunnel. southbound traffic going into the tunnel. no incidents to report at this time. we're also doing okay at the fort mchenry tunnel. you can follow us on twitter for the latest accident and delay information. we've posted it all there. back to you. things got a little tense in the early morning hours in dallas as police in riot gear moved in to clear out protesters in a park. officers went around from tent to tent evicted protesters from that site next to city hall. officers arrested 15 protesters. occupy protests like these have been heating up with law enforcement. now suiting newspaper riot gear in many places over-- suiting up in riot gear overnight in many places overnight. monitoring the story and checking in with occupy baltimore protesters downtown, we'll join abc2 newsline today live out there with those demonstrators. what can you tell us this

morning? we're having some difficulty right now getting to linda. again, she's live downtown. we'll check in with her coming up in just a bit. after a six-hour delay passengers aboard one southwest airlines flight 793 finally landed safely at bwi around 12:30 this morning. this is a new photo of the plane taking off from west palm beach florida. it was a rough day for 137 passengers. we lad this breaking news last night at 5:00 and 6:00. flight attendant found suspicious white powder in the bathroom of that plane at the palm beach international airport just before taking off for baltimore. the flight was scheduled to leave at 4:10. it was evacuated and hazmat crews were called in. they didn't end up leaving till 10:30. it was determined that powder posed no significant threat. a anne arundel man is in jail. a trooper went to the internet crimes against children task force and set up a sting and

greed to meet robert hudson in a library to exchange files with child porn. when he got there police arrested him. he could face up to 20 years in prison. elsewhere in anne arundel county, police are now looking for a man who tried to abduct a 15-year-old girl. we first told but this story monday on good morning maryland. the student was on her way to is a verna park -- severna park when a man in a dark green pickup truck tried to reach out and grab her. police are still looking for more information in the case. if you any anything about this incident, you're asked to call the number on your screen. the search is on this morning for four suspects police say kidnapped and sexually assaulted a teenage girl, this time in baltimore county. the more troubling part it happened nearly two weeks ago. police have released photos of two suspects hoping to trigger some leads in this case. abc2 news is live at baltimore county with the latest on this

vo going investigation. charlie, like you said the sexual assault happened about two weeks ago. police say after they've exhausted nearly every lead in this case, they've come up so far with nothing. that's why they'ring is for the public's help now. police released these composite photos of the two suspects from the description given by the suspect. they want you to take a good look at them in order to help track the suspects down. police also released the description of the car saying it's a late model sedan possibly late '90s, early 2000 car with tinted windows. this all happened around 3:00 in the afternoon on november 1 just as students were leaving wouldlawn high school. police tell us four men drove up in a car. one of them got out, threaten add 15-year-old girl with a gun, forced her into the front seat of the car. then covered her eyes. the suspects then drove the girl to an unknown location where one of the men sexually assaulted her. the suspects later took the girl back to woodlawn drive and

released her near woodlawn memorial park where she walked into a nearby police precinct. >> any kind of an incident like this is extremely frightening and we are very interested in finding these four suspects. >> reporter: if you have any information on this case, you're asked to call metro crime stoppers. the number is 1-866-7-lockup. a family has a big mess to deal with after a fire tore through their home early wednesday night n. is a picture from the magnolia volunteer fire company. dispatch says the fire caused significant damage to the second floor of that home on box thorn road not far from route 24. a maybe called in that fire and thankfully no one was hurt. still to come this morning on good morning maryland, severe weather across much of the south. how that weather has disrupted local schools and a football season and the damage that's now being surveyed across some

welcome back on this thursday morning. we're going to go live to linda. you can hear her now live on the air. some cities are celebrating their two-month anniversary. they have activities planned today. how are things going down there this morning, linda? >> reporter: pretty peacefully when you compare it to other cities where things have gotten

a little violent. but here protesters are marking the two-month anniversary this this movement. they're up with their signs. joining us is iris. you're planning a rally. tell us about that. >> a lot of the infrastructure in baltimore and other cities is crumbling. for the last five years the howard street bridge has been deemed unsafe for motorists and pedestrians. but the city has neglected to do anything about it. so today at 4:30 we are going to occupy the bridge, not close it down, just bring a presence there and try to call attention to the needs of our community that are not being met. >> reporter: in other cities things have gotten violent. people have been kicked out of their camp. any inkling of what the city might do here? >> we have a feeling that we may not be -- that they may come to crack down on us soon. we haven't had an official word on that. but we are preparing for that. >> reporter: if that happens,

march on down towards the south. this is the final surge of winter weather trying to push through what's left of autumn. we just have this rain showers around town. some snow already breaking out into the mountains of west virginia. and there will be the threat of snow showers, at least flakes mixing in closer to home today. overnight glen bernie has been wet although the rain has subsided. still dampness on richie highway. we'll switch it over to bel air. it's a little damp outside. temperatures currently in the lower 50s. we do expect to have a slide through the 40s and maybe showers mixed in with a flake. we'll talk more about that coming up. here's tanya with traffic. we're still doing pretty well out there. accident free on our major interstates. so that is good news. pretty light traffic as well. let's take a look at our live traffic cameras starting out on 95 and 175. a steady flow of traffic in both directions. right now northbound traffic is heavier with the oncoming

summit. it's a warning you'll be ticketed now in howard county. you can expect the get the tickets if you get caught by the speed cameras. education reporter sherrie johnson is standing by. >> reporter: howard county police had a trial period for the speed cameras. they passioned out about 30 warnings ticket as day. officers say this shows how much the cameras are needed to slow drivers down in areas where there are children. the little white vans are ready for anyone who goes over 38 miles an hour or faster in a 25 mile an hour zone. howard county says they're not trying to surprise anyone with this. they even have signs along the roads. years worth of traffic surveys found people were speeding in many school zones and despite critic complaints that this is an attempt by the county to make more money, authorities say the money raised does not go to the county. >> this is a self-funded program. so the money that's generated

from the citations, from the violators will actually go back into the program to pay for it to continue to run. >> reporter: if you want more information on the speed cameras, you can head to abc2news.com. we have the story in our slide show. if you click on the story, there is a link that will take you to information on where the vans are positioned and they have two out there on a daily basis. reporting live in interactive news center, sherrie johnson, abc2 news. a new policy regarding handguns on campus have some people worried. liberty university in virginia is giving students permission to carry guns on campus. a board of trustees approved the policy allowing people with concealed weapons to have permits to carry while on campus. permit holders must get special permission to take weapons into the buildings. some students think the poll say may help prevent an attack like what happened on 2007 on the campus of virginia tech. >> this allows an individual to protect themselves so then if anyone does come on campus with

a gun with malicious intent, there are people on campus with guns that can protect themselves. >> it kind of freaks me out a little bit. i don't really like it. >> liberty university officials say there are dozens of other colleges and universities who currently have similar policies. closer to home, the profits coming from new alcohol tax are now being put to their intended use helping schools. the maryland board of public works approved more than a million dollars for cecil and harvard counties. cecil will use the money to replace a track at the high school and harvard will use the money to update two air conditions at two schools. the consumer news, there's a recall now this morning. build a bear is recalling their teddy bear swimwear due to a strangulation hazard. the inner tube can up pulled from a small child's head causing a strangulation hazard. that's been a report of one

injury so far. an update on a chemical hazard. we told but this two weeks ago. johnson&johnson will set a timeline for moving hazardous chemicals from child products. the company says they'll have a similar removal process here in the u.s. in place in the next two years. new information this morning in the penn state scandal and pennsylvania governor tom corbet was the former attorney general and is under fire on how he handled the case of jerry sandusky. sandusky. corbet says he can't comment but the alleged victims are ready to talk. one victim's mother says her son is even anxious to testify. >> is your son anxious to testify against him? >> he's scared but he's anxious. he's ready. he wants to do it. he wants him to go to jail and

he wants him to pay for what he's done. >> an attorney for another victim told abc that his client was outraged by sandusky's portrayal of what happened, what he referred to as being simply horseplay. a pooch gave police a run. the pooch was in a car involved in an accident. the dog freed himself and took off. eventually he was cornered. the canine was on a median. he has since been returned to his owner. time for a check of the weather. here's justin. thanks, charlie. we take a look at temperatures right now. you're going to notice that 4:51 we've got ourselves a look at numbers that are ranging from 52 here in town on the eastern seaboard, 30s back to our west and colder air across the upper midwest. this is important because the cold air is now catching up to the rain that has pushed through. yes, there were some tornadoes

in the deep south. charlie showed you that in alabama. even south carolina had a few fatalities. unfortunately we're looking at this rain band still adding some nuisance to those cleanup efforts even during the overnight hours. we are looking at this rain pushing off to the south and east but one more surge today and a little hint here along this boundary of snow mixing in. the cold air will definitely dominant. what you're going to see is yes, indeed, there's snow mixing out there. snow shoe, west virginia will get a few inches. we could get a few flakes before the day is done. again we're going to have a little push of some moisture this morning. there's a chance of not only rain showers but again snow flakes mixed in. doesn't mean it's going to stick but if you see it, don't be surprised the week before thanksgiving. this is about the time we start to see them. we should start clearing out late in the day. the cold air tonight settles in and we'll definitely get into the cold, windy air for the next couple of days. so the winds really dominate. let's show you the forecast. some rain showers mixing in with some flakes, 47. we're down in the 20s tonight.

hundreds of health care workers took the stage in barcelona, spain in protest. the workers say austere ya is -- austere ya is costing lives. the change is part of a program planned to bring down -- [indiscernible] voters will go to the polls on sunday. most feel this will not help get spain out of its economic crisis. one of the most significant secret drug smuggling passages found on the u.s.-mexico border. officials found an estimated 14 tons of marijuana. the tunnel stretched about 400 yards and linked warehouses in san diego, california with

tiawana, mexico. authorities said it suggested a major mexican cartel was involved but no link has been established. the syrian regime acknowledges an increasing number of deadly attacks on its soldiers, including the recent bombing of a syria army tank. men, women and children who -- 3500 men, women and children who stood for their freedom have all been shot. speculation out of london this morning that kate middleton could be pregnant. several media outlets are reporting the royal couple may soon be joined by an heir. kate refused to taste some peanut paste while on a trip to africa and she's also declined champagne when offered. the palace issued a statement saying, quote, feel free to ignore these reports which are other speculation at best, end quote. they used to have to watch and wait for the royal baby bump but then again with celebrities, don't we all.

a teenage girl is kidnapped and sexually assaulted. now police need your help to track down the suspect. the full story coming down. a march on wall street is set to wrap up in major scale. aim charlie crowson. let's get right to the check of the forecast and say hello once again to my partner in crime, meteorologist justin berk. the crime is going to be the end of the warm air and the thrill of the chill for some of us. temperatures are going to start taking a dive, already doing so. when you start at 52 in easton in centreville, it's 48 in northeast. 45 mount airy and colder towards frederick. that's the hint of the cold air trying to move in here. we've already seen our high temperature for the day. this band of rain part of the frontal boundary that's sweeping through and temperatures starting to tank. and in fact we are looking at a

period of some snow back into the mountains n. is great news -- mountains. this is great news for some of the ski resorts. snowshoe planning to open next week. we could get some flakes mixed in on the back side of this precip. so we've got some showers this morning. a surge and a burst of precipitation. i say that word loosely because around baltimore, probably anne arundel county and the bay, it's going to be s but there could be some snow flakes mixed in. parts of howard, carol, maybe baltimore county. nothing is going to stick. we'll be watching those temperatures start to slide off into the lower 40s this afternoon. winds gusting to 30 miles per hour. and then we'll drop through the 30s and even into the 20s overnight. more on how long this cold air will stick around in a moment. 4:59. let's see what's happening on the roads right now with tanya. >> i don't want to jinx myself but we're still doing great out there. no problems to report. let's take a live look at 29 and see how things are moving along. if you're traveling from ellicott city down towards columbia
